Through our History Alive program, the museum provides TEKS based lessons to rural Title 1 schools in West Texas about exhibits, the settlement of the West Texas frontier, and agriculture. With your support, we provide these services free of charge. In the 2024-2025 school year, the museum saw 4,300 students.
Sharing our knowledge with the next generation is a priority to our vision. High School interns provide the student with a unique set of skills that can be transferred to many different career paths. This also opens options to these young adults to explore as a possible career choice.
Help us bring beautiful exhibits from other Museums across Texas to our rural area. These temporary exhibits bring more visitors to our area as well as help the museum offer something fresh and new to our visitors.
Our Lecture Program brings educational and thought-provoking lectures on topics related to the settlement of the West Texas frontier, as well as area history.
