Five Stages of Settlement on the West Texas Frontier

This TEKS based curriculum highlights the stages of settlement experienced in Texas which includes: Comanches, Ranchers, Farmers, Railroads, and Towns. Free of charge. Contact us for more information.

HIGH SCHOOL - 11TH GRADE US HISTORY

Through History's Lens

These TEKS based lessons explore events in US History since 1877 by exploring it on a national level, a state level, and finally through a local history story of real people from rural West Texas that lived this event. This is a great way to reinforce or introduce a topic and make it more relevant for the students. 

TRAVELING EXHIBITS

The Life and Times of Charles Goodnight

The Museum has partnered with The Bryan Museum, Galveston, to bring a beautiful, 13 canvas exhibit that tells the story of Charles Goodnight. Through this story, it also follows the settlement of Texas. The Museum can bring this exhibit to your school. We offer this program to students from PK-12th grade. Free program.

TRAVELING EXHIBITS

Tejanos in Revolutionary Texas

The Museum has partnered with The Bryan Museum, Galveston, to bring a thought provoking look at Tejanos in early Texas. Through this story, we learn about early Tejano settlers. The Museum can bring this exhibit to your school. We offer this program to students from PK-12th grade. Free program.
